| Spicy Hungarian Dish |

Ingredients: |
- 1 large onion
- 2 teaspoons paprika
- 1 chicken of around 1.2 kg
- 200 g smoked bacon
- 250g lambs liver
- 250 g sour cream
- 1 chicken stock cube
- Black Pepper
|
Method: |
- Make the stock with 1/4l water and put to one side.
- Dice the bacon, and slice the onion.
- Carve the chicken, and slice the liver into strips.
- Brown the bacon in a saucepan, add sliced onion and cook until translucent.
- Remove from heat and add paprika then stir. Put back on low heat.
- Brown the chicken over a medium heat.
- Add stock to chicken, then add pepper and cover.
- Leave to simmer at a low heat for an hour, stirring occasionally.
- Add the chopped liver after 45 minutes.
- Add the cream 5 minutes before serving.
- Bring to the boil and serve immediately.

| made this today, really nice.. added some mushrooms i had kicking about along with the bacon, which i think worked pretty well. |

| That would be up to you, but about half a pound would be sufficient.
Sorry for omitting it from the recipe. I will try and adjust that. |

| I just assumed the liver from the giblets of the chicken.. unfortunately turns out you can't buy chickens with giblets in in tescos anymore. |
